There is a new opportunity available to join the fantastic team at Tech OP. We are always on the lookout for good people but due to recent exciting developments we need to recruit a reliable, loyal and hardworking engineer(s).

Tech OP is a Managed Service Provider and a Bespoke Software Applications Developer / Provider. In May 2019, Bamboo Technology Group Ltd acquired Tech OP as their tech arm of the group.

The role:

As the new IT talent, you will work closely with the Tech OP engineers to support our customers with their technical issues. You’ll work from the office using remote systems but may be required on occasion to go to site and solve the problem hands on.

  • Be passionate about IT and have at least 4 year’s experience in an IT technical role
  • Be happy liasing with customers in person and on the phone
  • Be able to communicate technical issues in layman’s terms

  • Manage your own time and work to multiple deadlines in conjunction
  • Be able to learn quickly and work with a variety of new and different technologies

The role:

Working closely with the partner channel team, you will be responsible for assisting the partner managers with their existing accounts and helping them to identify new business opportunities. You will be working to create what the customer needs to support their business growth as well as creating and implementing a communication and support plan for them.

  • Assist the partner team in increasing Bamboo’s market share across the UK by acquiring new business through existing accounts and assisting with identifying new partners
  • Understand unified communications, IoT, fixed, mobile, cloud and hosting propositions
We need you to
  • Have experience in the telecoms and technology industries
  • Be great at communicating written and verbally with both the internal partner team and externally with customers and partners
  • Be an organised individual with a real attention to detail
  • Competent at Excel, Word and Outlook but also an ability to adapt and work comfortably within CRM systems
  • Establish customer requirements and assess their needs through to implementation

I joined the team on what was initially a three-month placement after university, fast forward to the present day and I’m very much a permanent member of the marketing team. Through working at Bamboo I have been given a variety of opportunities, some not necessarily in my comfort zone, however that’s what’s great about everyone here - there is always a strong level of support from across the whole business. I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to join for my first ‘proper’ job in industry.
